Who you'll work with:

We are seeking a quantitative Associate Portfolio Manager with a focus on systematic fixed income/credit strategies for our Nashville office. The quantitative Associate Portfolio Manager will work closely with the Systematic Fixed Income team and broader Associate Portfolio Manager team supporting Senior Portfolio Managers.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop various quantitative aspects of the investment process

  • Initiate portfolio optimization and rebalancing

  • Monitor portfolio cash, positions and risk analytics relative to targets

  • Address optimization issues

  • Build out QCs to detect data issues and optimization failures

  • Review and resolve pre- and post-trade compliance issues

  • Further develop tools to streamline and simplify process

  • Collaborate with Fixed Income Technology to ensure adherence to best practices

  • Liaise with other departments internally including Legal/Compliance, Sales/Marketing, Investment Operations

  • Participation in investment meetings or client presentations

What We're Looking For:

  • The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

  • Two to five years of industry-related experience. Fixed Income experience is preferred.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to take ownership of projects with a strong focus on quality are essential.

  • The ideal candidate must have strong communication, analytical skills, and be very detail-oriented.

  • Works well under pressure – must be able to remain calm and focused while multi-tasking in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

  • Pro-active personality with a desire to continually improve and accept challenges to institute change.

  • The applicant must have strong Python skills and be very familiar with the Python ecosystem.

  • Data science and machine learning skills are a strong plus.

  • Experience working with SQL databases is required, and exposure to modern dev/ops tools such as Airflow, Kubernetes, etc., is a strong plus.
