Senior Analyst, Consumer Pricing

Your Role  

You'll join a large and diverse team of skilled pricing professionals and will enjoy the challenge of working on a ground-breaking, innovative project with a high level of exposure across the organisation. There will be ample opportunities to design and deliver creative solutions to challenging problems whilst learning from the best, in a very supportive environment. 

 Key accountabilities: 

• Designing and building an end-to-end pricing process that is best in class for all products across IAG 
• Building and deploying ground up actuarial risk pricing and demand models using GBMs and GAMs 
• Designing pricing algorithms in accordance with our Pricing Principles and future strategy 
• Pricing portfolios as part of the migration onto new rating engines 
• Working with a range of stakeholders across the business including product teams, portfolio teams, data and technology teams 

This is a permanent opportunity open to candidates based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney), Naarm (Melbourne)⁠ and Meanjin (Brisbane)⁠.

About You 

• Experience analysing complex data, preferably in general insurance actuarial or analytical roles 
• Experience with analytical software such as R, Python, SAS and/or SQL 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, in particular the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to a range of stakeholders 
• Experience across actuarial and technical pricing methods; Experience across design, build and evaluation of pricing models are highly advantageous 
• Insurance industry domain knowledge and familiarity with relevant legislation and regulatory environment are desirable 
• Tertiary qualifications in Actuarial, Mathematical, Statistics, Data Science or other analytical disciplines
