We’re looking for an outstanding individual who has relevant domain specific knowledge (see below) and who can collaborate across product, technology, and business functions. The Data Product Lead will chip in to the Nasdaq Data Index business by defining, elaborating and prioritizing enhancements to the Index data capabilities and improving the experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Index industry, clients, and solutions we offer.
  • Understand the business processes, conduct story mapping, document detailed business requirements, develop functional designs, etc. Ensure the project team has a common understanding of the product and how it will satisfy the customer and business needs.
  • Work with our Index team to build and maintain the product backlog of new business features as well as maintenance and support items.
  • Evaluate team deliverables and determine fit to requirements
  • Promote a collaborative working relationship with the team and partners.
  • Conduct all business in accordance with Nasdaq policies and procedures.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a deep technical understanding of platform and data capabilities, and how they are the building blocks of the service.
  • Understand data and data modeling as part of defining and handling the capabilities.
  • Collaborate with development teams in an agile model to ensure effective delivery of solutions.

Familiarity with defining end user tools and workflows in support of platform users.

Additional Skills:

  • 2-5 years of experience and successful track record as a Product Owner (Product Delivery Lead) in an Agile environment or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Index, finance or the institutional investment industry is a plus
  • Keen understanding of backlog management practices and experience using various backlog management tools.
  • Effective meeting leadership skills to initiate, develop agenda, conduct, and communicate decisions so that all appropriate parties are kept up to date.
  • Good attention to detail including precise and effective communications and shown ability to handle multiple, opposing priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to "think out of the box" and develop creative solutions.
  • Energetic, shows passion, and is invested in the project as well as our business

The base pay range for this role is $66,000 - $136,400. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
