Position: Senior Manager, Advanced Analytics

Duties: Lead Subject Matter Experts (SME) of multiple eCommerce data products related to items, prices, inventory, partner, sales, and visits on Walmart’s website. Drive the design, development, and testing of eCommerce datasets, applications, and pipelines in batches and real-time using SQL, SAP, Kafka, Spark, NoSQL Database Cassandra, and Python. Partner with the Operations Team to deliver reports using Tableau, Looker, and PowerBI to improve Walmart’s top and bottom lines and customer experience. Run complex SQL and NoSQL database queries using cloud technology on large datasets to improve data quality, check data coverage, and detect data anomalies. Conduct cost-benefit analysis, ROI analysis, NPV analysis, and opportunity sizing to inform business decisions and investments. Collaborate with Developers and Architects to create system designs and data architecture for data products and applications. Define and implement business and data ad-hoc analytics tables, jobs, and metrics for efficient Business Intelligence (BI) reporting. Partner with Developers, Analysts, and Product Managers to gather data requirements, prioritize tasks, and plan launches. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field and 2 years of experience in data analytics or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering (any), or related field and 4 years of experience in data analytics or related field.

Skills required: Experience performing big data analytics to generate insights using SQL, SAP, SAP HANA, and Python. Experience creating SQL and NoSQL database tables for Business Intelligence (BI) using MySQL and NoSQL Cassandra. Experience creating reports and dashboards using one of the following: Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker. Experience with relational database modelling and governance using SQL. Experience creating scalable system designs and big-data architecture using Kafka and Spark. Experience performing Cost-Benefit Analysis, ROI Analysis, and impact sizing to make investment decisions using Big Query or Hive. Experience coding and testing scripts for data products and applications using Hive and Python. Experience troubleshooting production issues using SQL, Hive, and JIRA. Experience improving data quality and detect anomalies using SQL and Python. Experience with project planning and project delivery using JIRA, Microsoft (MS) Excel, Microsoft (MS) Project, and Confluence.
