What you’ll be doing:

  • Collect, clean and preprocess large and diverse datasets from multiple sources
  • Work with data engineers and others to integrate various structured and unstructured data sources into centralized systems for seamless analysis and reporting
  • Employ data wrangling techniques to prepare datasets for advanced analytics, machine learning models and visualization
  • Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis to understand patterns, outliers, correlations and trends
  • Build, implement and maintain machine learning models for various applications, such as predictive analytics, decision support systems, risk assessment models and client outcome predictions
  • Develop predictive models to identify, measure and track client wellness and optimize client service delivery
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and data visualizations that communicate complex insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Implement automated reporting processes that track key metrics, client outcomes and performance indicators over time, providing real-time insights into organizational performance and enabling data-driven decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR and work with data governance teams to ensure ethical handling of sensitive healthcare data
  • Work collaboratively to identify key business problems, define data-driven solutions and prioritize projects that will have the greatest impact on healthcare delivery and outcomes
  • Partner with data engineers to design and implement scalable data pipelines and work with IT teams to ensure the seamless deployment of machine learning models into production environments
  • Innovate in the use of advanced analytics to address complex healthcare problems or address customer needs
  • Implement feedback loops that allow continuous retraining and refinement of models based on new data and evolving healthcare practices and customer needs

 What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics Mathematics or related field
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist or in a similar role, with specific experience in applying data science techniques
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for data analysis and machine learning
  • Extensive experience with machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras or PyTorch
  • Experience working with data processing frameworks like Pandas, NumPy and Spark; Familiarity with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Apache Kafka) is a plus
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods, hypothesis testing, regression analysis and other quantitative analysis techniques
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or libraries like Matplotlib, Seaborn and Plotly
  • Experience with cloud-based tools and platforms like AWS, Google Cloud or Azure is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with others
  • Analytical and critical thinker with a keen eye for detail and quality outcomes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
