As a Geospatial Data Scientist in our product team, you are responsible for maintaining and enhancing our PostgreSQL-based database content, sourcing and cleaning data, and supporting internal projects. This position is ideal for someone with a strong interest in geography, cultural differences, and linguistics who seeks a regular, predictable assignment in a collaborative environment.

Your Mission
- Research, scrape, and acquire geographic and postal data sources.
- Perform data cleaning, validation, and integration into our PostgreSQL database.
- Collaborate on small-scale internal projects to process and analyze data.
- Work closely with Geo Domain experts to ensure accuracy and relevance of data.
- Document workflows and maintain detailed process records.

Requirements
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with PostgreSQL.
- Skilled in Python for data processing and automation.
- Comfortable working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Geography, Data Science, or Computer Science.
It's a plus if you have:
- Experience with GIS (Geographical Information System) tools such as QGIS or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with bash scripting and version control using Git.
- Knowledge of web scraping tools and techniques.
- Basic understanding of PHP for occasional integrations.
- Fluency in additional languages, especially those relevant to international postal systems.
