Our ICT Section consists of 20 highly skilled employees in diverse, interdisciplinary roles that support our entire operation and develop innovative ICT solutions for our mission. As a dynamically growing non-profit organisation with a global presence, we continuously work on transforming and future-proofing our ICT infrastructure and operational processes. Within the ICT Section, the Business and Innovation Department is responsible for aligning technological solutions with evolving business needs and for leveraging data insights to drive strategic decision-making and optimize operations. The department acts as a bridge between business needs and ICT capabilities, ensuring that solutions not only address current challenges but also anticipate future opportunities.

To strengthen our team, we are currently seeking a Lead Data Analyst Business Intelligence (m/f/d) to take on strategic and operational responsibilities for the data strategy and related projects.

Your duties

• Lead the development and implementation of advanced business intelligence solutions (including artificial intelligence) that facilitate data-driven decision-making
• Create and manage dynamic dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) for various stakeholders
• Conduct in-depth financial/resource scenario analyses in collaboration with finance, fundraising, operations and other teams to support strategic planning and resource allocation
• Oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to ensure data quality and accessibility
• Utilize data warehousing and data lake technologies to optimize data storage and retrieval
• Apply strong statistical methodologies to analyze business performance and derive actionable insights
• Depending on time, skills, and interest, engage in data analytics projects focused on measuring the outcomes and impact of our social programs.

Our requirements

• Master’s degree in Business Information Technology, Economics, Business Administration, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field, preferably in project-based organizations such as non-profits or consulting firms
• Proven experience in financial analysis and modeling, preferably in a B2C context
• Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and strong SQL skills for data querying and management
• Strong knowledge of statistical methods and techniques and solid experience in statistical software (e.g., R, Python)
• Project management skills to lead and manage BI projects effectively
• Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations
• Experience in working with data warehouses, preferably also with data lakes
• Proficient in English; very good knowledge of German; knowledge of French is an asset
• Experience with Microsoft infrastructure desirable (Azure, Power BI, Copilot etc.)
• Knowledge in machine learning desirable

Your place of work will be Lucerne. Starting date: 01.01.2025 or as agreed upon.
