Job Title: Product Owner - AI/ML- DevOps
Location: Saskatoon, Canada
Overview: We are seeking a Product Owner for AI/ML solutions to lead the strategic vision, development, and deployment of machine learning products. In this role, you will work closely with data science, engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure AI/ML models are designed and deployed efficiently, incorporating CI/CD practices for continuous improvement. You will bridge the gap between business objectives and technical execution, driving the prioritization and delivery of impactful AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and prioritize the AI/ML product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and maximizing the value delivered by AI/ML initiatives.
- Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for model deployment, versioning, and updates, ensuring a smooth production lifecycle.
- Work with DevOps and engineering teams to build scalable and reliable deployment workflows for machine learning models, focusing on automation and performance.
- Gather, document, and communicate requirements for machine learning solutions, translating business needs into actionable tasks for the data science and engineering teams.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of deployed models, coordinating with technical teams to monitor performance and ensure timely retraining or updates as needed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs for model success, leveraging metrics and feedback loops to assess and improve model effectiveness.
- Stay informed on advancements in AI/ML, DevOps, and CI/CD practices, advocating for their adoption to enhance machine learning deployments' efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
- Communicate project status, timelines, and outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency throughout development.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally within AI/ML or data-driven projects.
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and CI/CD principles, with the ability to coordinate with DevOps teams to enable continuous integration and automated model deployment.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., Azure ML) and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Docker) to support the efficient deployment of AI/ML models.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into business-focused language for stakeholders.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience managing projects within agile frameworks.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to prioritizing tasks, measuring impact, and iterating on solutions.
