About Us:

We believe every family should feel confident when buying and selling a home.

We do this by transforming the way consumers are educated in the housing industry - providing real estate professionals with market insights to stay current on what’s happening, and marketing tools to share them in a simple way that is easy to understand. What You'll Do:

As the Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-informed decision-making and delivering strategic insights across the organization. While technical expertise is essential—managing ETL processes, designing data models, and developing high-quality dashboards and reports—this role goes beyond execution. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations that directly influence analysis and decision-making across departments.

  • Cross-Functional Data Consultation: Partner with teams across the organization to understand their objectives, identify trends and anomalies in data, and uncover actionable insights. Act as a trusted advisor by interpreting analytics, spotting opportunities for growth, and addressing complex business challenges with data-driven strategies.
  • Data Storyteller: Transform raw data into meaningful narratives, building dashboards and reports that convey insights clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.
  • ETL Development: Design, build, and manage ETL processes to ensure efficient data flows from various sources into PostgreSQL, supporting accurate and timely insights.
  • Data Integration: Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate product data seamlessly, optimizing data pipelines and maintaining data integrity.
  • Data Modeling: Create and manage data models within PostgreSQL to enable efficient data analysis, reporting, and integration with machine learning workflows.
  • Python Programming: Utilize Python for data transformation, scripting, and supporting ML initiatives, including implementing predictive models and automating ETL processes.
  • Data Governance: Enforce data governance practices to maintain data accuracy, security, and privacy compliance across all BI systems and outputs.
  • Self-Management: Operate with a high level of independence, managing BI operations, driving initiatives, and delivering impactful solutions with minimal oversight.
  • Source of Truth Management: Establish and maintain a single source of truth for critical business datasets, ensuring consistency across all reports and dashboards.

Requirements

What You'll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar technical role, with a strong background in BI tools, data modeling, database infrastructure, and data visualization. Experience in Microsoft PowerBI is imperative.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, particularly for data transformation, automation, and machine learning model development.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling, transformation, and integration within a PostgreSQL environment.
  • Understanding of data governance, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security across all systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a high-velocity SaaS company, with a solid grasp of its unique data and analytics needs.
