We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our smart manufacturing team. As a Smart Manufacturing Intern, you will collaborate with the and cross-functional teams to support projects that enhance manufacturing efficiency, drive data-driven decision-making, and integrate advanced technologies. This position offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge manufacturing tools, digital systems, and process improvement strategies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

     Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing operational data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) using tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

     Digital Transformation Support

  • Collaborate on projects that implement smart manufacturing technologies, including automation, IIoT devices, and data analytics platforms.
  • Support the design and deployment of applications for process monitoring and quality control.

     Process Optimization

  • Participate in root cause analysis to address process inefficiencies and recommend solutions for improved performance.
  • Document findings and compile recommendations for process enhancements.

     System Integration & Testing

  • Assist in integrating manufacturing systems, such as MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), and other digital platforms.
  • Conduct testing and validation to ensure seamless system functionality.

     Research & Innovation

  • Research emerging smart manufacturing trends and technologies, providing insights and recommendations for potential adoption.
  • Prepare and present findings to stakeholders in the form of reports or presentations.

     Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, production, quality, and engineering, to support project goals.
  • Maintain organized project trackers and ensure timely communication of progress.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. Must be a completed Sophomore with a GPA of 3.0 or better.

 

  Technical Skills:

  • Strong foundation in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, SQL).
  • Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems and principles, such as MES and SPC, is a plus.

  Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Self-driven with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
