How do we work?

We’re looking for a Data Scientist with a solid experience in coding. You will have an ownership in managing the entire data lifecycle. You’ll be joining a small quant team that builds and prototypes complex models responsible for managing trading and risk management from a market maker perspective. In this role you will design and build data pipelines which operate over extremely large datasets, combining traditional analytics and state of the art machine learning. You will be responsible for exploratory data analysis and visualisation tools, operating over a wide range of structured and unstructured data. We are always prototyping new technologies! Join us!

In this role, you will:

• build and optimising data repositories, incorporating relational, column store, and NoSQL databases.

• create new data production and modelling processes using a variety of advanced techniques to explore data, such as data mining and machine learning.

• engineering, automating and optimizing large scale compute pipelines, allowing for the analysis and training of models over huge datasets.

• develop and maintain analytical libraries.

• support on-prem and cloud-based research infrastructure.

• explore and create new data analysis and visualisations, prepare dashboards and other ways to deliver research insights.

What skillset you need, to be successful in this role:

• demonstrated experience of developing and maintaining projects written in Python, including libraries such as NumPy, pandas, polars, matplotlib, etc.

• extensive understanding and skills in using databases and SQL.

• some background in coding in C++ or Rust.

• Unix platform experience.

Nice to have:

• university degree in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, finance or a related field.

• knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.

• an eye for graphical design and the visual display of quantitative information. 

• professional experience in finance markets.
