Junior Data Science Expert

Company Description

Global Service Center Media Measurement (GSC MM) is a global operations department located in Sofia. As a centralized operations Hub it includes roles with various profiles, working closely with all country local Operations, as well as the MM Technology and Product teams. The department provides wide range of services, including helpdesk support, data and systems monitoring, data pipelines configuration and processing, data analytics for client products, as well as data science support. 

The Junior Data Scientist is a key member of the Advanced Analytics team, contributing to the development of innovative solutions and products. This role involves assisting with statistical analyses, supporting data process optimizations, and collaborating with teams to execute analytical tasks, providing valuable insights for decision-making. 

Job Description

• Write and debug scripts in programming languages like Python, R, or SQL to manipulate and analyze data 
• Handle missing or inconsistent data using foundational statistical and programming techniques 
• Conduct basic statistical analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and relationships within datasets 
• Prepare straightforward reports and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders 
• Test and evaluate machine learning models using appropriate metrics to ensure their reliability and performance 
• Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to understand project requirements and align objectives 
• Continuously learn and implement new data science tools, techniques, and concepts, including cloud computing and model deployment practices 

Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL 
• Basic understanding of statistical methods and data analysis techniques 
• Familiarity with data visualization tools or libraries (e.g. Matplotlib, Seaborn. ggpot2, or Tableau) 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail 
• Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, including cloud-based platforms (e.g. AWS or Azure) 
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders 
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence is considered a plus
