About the role:

Sitting at the intersection between Business and Technology, our Product Division develops and delivers a market-leading front-to-back Investment Management solutions. We are growing rapidly and have an enthusiastic plan to expand out range of products and services to the buy-side community. You will be at the forefront of innovation creation and delivery to our global clients.

SimCorp is looking for an enthusiastic Product Manager to own our Reference and Market Data product outcomes, specifically focussed on data ingestion, validation, mastering and distribution.

We are not just looking for a product manager but someone who can set ambitious outcome-based roadmaps, has an innovative commercial mindset to create value for our clients.

The main focus areas we are looking at:

  • You need to be an expert and thought leader on Simcorp’s target market in terms of buy-side investment management business operating models, desired outcomes, competitive landscape, and market trends.
  • You need to have acquired and will maintain a deep understanding of where the financial services and technology industry are moving. More specifically, we are looking for someone with advanced knowledge and experience in data-related technologies (such as Snowflake and Databrics), service-oriented design, Cloud delivery techniques as well as the broader data ingestion and management industry.
  • You will use your expertise in these areas and your proven leadership skills to create a market leading Product Vision, Strategy, Value Propositions. You will work in close collaboration with our development, commercial, services, architecture and delivery teams to deliver on that vision.

Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Product-centric
  • Contributes to the Data product vision and strategy both commercially and functionally, by developing and being the guardian of an up-to-date product strategy
  • Accountable for the management of the Reference and Market Data product lifecycle from research, discovery, business case approval, development, launch and implementation
  • Responsible for ensuring that products are optimised for SaaS deliveries
  • Owner of the Product Area outcome prioritisation, and working in design sprints with the development teams and product owners assigned to this area
  • Measure KPIs during product launches and when monitoring performance.
  • Commercial mindset
  • Conducts research, attends industry events and client meetings to discover the needs and wants of customers in the space of Reference and Data Management
  • Accountable for the success of the Market & Reference Data products, measured by commercial results and client outcome metrics
  • Work with the Go to Market team to assist them comprehend product value proposition and aligning competitive positioning and market development
  • Follow the industry best practices to ensure to meet the customer goals. Developing relationships with prospects and vendors, acting as the SME on your product area
  • Leadership
  • Provide leadership to your peers in the Market & Reference Data team and work closely with the product, product architects, sales, services, marketing, and engineering teams to ensure you meet customer goals and business cases.
  • Mentor and guide members of your product area team, in particular the product owners by:
  • conducting user surveys and focus groups
  • creating Product Requirement Documents, Market Requirement Documents, and Business Requirement Documents
  • performing user demo’s
  • Cultivate a balanced and agile work environment that breaths our company’s core values.
  • Suggest process improvements to the Data Group Product Manager to whom you report to.

Your Profile

  • +8 years experience within Market & Reference Data business or related product management
  • Agile certified product manager or product owner certification.
  • You need to understand the business domain and the Data technology industry
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, as you must communicate regularly with stakeholders, product owners, and different departments within the organization.
  • Possess a higher level of enthusiasm to enhance skills and experience among junior team members.

For New York City only: The annual salary range for this position is $185,840 – 278,760 USD. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including health care, leave, and retirement plans. Your total compensation may vary based on role, location, department and individual performance.
