Internship Silicon Validation

Context

The NXP business line "Secure Connected Edge" designs leading edge devices for intelligent mobile solutions that safely connect consumers and their technology to the world around them.

The digital validation team ensures the functionality and performance of these devices both pre- and post silicon. To increase coverage and efficiency we strive to automate as much of the testing and data analysis as possible. In this area of device automation and data analysis we are looking for individuals who are passionate about automation, data crunching, ML, AI, scripting, object oriented software development, web applications and protocols - all in the context of leading edge silicon development.

Responsibilities

The internship gives the candidate the opportunity to work together in a team with other students and experienced engineers on modern tools and applications to support the whole silicon validation process. We are looking specifically for someone with interest (and experience) in robotics and image processing for setting up and programming a robot arm for chip handling.

Your Profile

• Student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar

• Experience in at least one object oriented programming language (Java, C++, C#, ...)

• Experience in at least one modern scripting language (Python, Groovy, ...)

• Basic knowledge of web- and database technologies and protocols

• Basic understanding of SoC (System on Chip) designs is a plus

Job location: Hamburg, on site

Contract type: ~6 months internship, 35hrs/week (please note that we can only offer mandatory internships required by your University)

Please note:
The successful candidate may/will be responsible for security related tasks.
The assignment may/will be in scope of security certifications, therefore a conscious and reliable way of working is necessary.
