Join us as an Economics & Markets Strategy Associate

  • Sitting within our Economics & Markets Strategy team, you’ll help to track the global economy and financial markets and expresses opinions for investors via financial trades and research reports
  • You’ll benefit from cross-asset, multi-location exposure, working closely with our global strategists and providing coverage of G10 FX from India
  • We’re offering this role at associate vice president level

What you'll do

Working closely with our G10 FX team, you’ll track and analyse G10 currency markets, and you’ll provide coverage on G10 rates and currency markets. You’ll build financial models and frameworks and you’ll set up a suite of analytics covering fair value modelling, relative valuation, flow, and positioning.  

You’ll also:

  • Formulate trade ideas and investment opportunities
  • Track and comment on macroeconomic data releases, financial model results, financial market data, and political developments for countries and currencies covered
  • Write and publish analytical and thematic research reports
  • Collaborate with team members globally, and work with our Sales & Trading team on various ad hoc requests and projects related to G10 FX and rates research

The skills you'll need

To excel in this role, you’ll have experience of working in the financial services industry and be familiar with helping customers with a wide range of needs. You’ll also be confident building trust with customers due to your excellent interpersonal skills. Ideally, you’ll have experience of G10 markets, analytics and data science, and Python programming.

In addition to this, we’re looking for:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in financial markets research with a strong focus on currency markets
  • Experience in both the finance and technical domain
  • A BTech and MBA in Finance, ideally with a CFA, FRM or progression towards completing them
  • Experience in people management, and coordinating and working with global stakeholders
  • Strong excel programming skills and a technical and analytical mindset
  • Knowledge of economic and financial markets databases covering Bloomberg and Haver
