What your impact will be like:  

As an AI Research and Optimization Intern at Exeon, you will contribute to the development of an advanced language assistant powered by cutting-edge LLM technology while supporting other innovative research projects and internal optimization initiatives. Under the guidance of an Exeon mentor, you will gain hands-on experience in AI research, process improvement, system optimization, and software development. This internship provides a unique chance to work at the intersection of two rapidly growing fields, AI and cybersecurity, with guidance and mentorship with a strong academic focus. 

In particular, you will: 

• Work on AI and Language Assistant Development (50%): 

• Assist in the design and development of an AI-driven language assistant leveraging advanced LLMs. 

• Implement and evaluate optimization techniques to improve model efficiency on constrained hardware. 

• Conduct experiments, analyze results, and document findings to support the ongoing development process. 

• Work on other Research and Internal Optimization (50%): 

• Contribute to other research projects, such as optimizing data pipelines or developing general-purpose log parsers. 

• Assist in reworking internal documentation systems to enhance usability, minimize redundancy, and improve knowledge sharing. 

• Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and explore innovative solutions for internal challenges.

We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic cyber security professional who is comfortable in a high-paced start-up environment and who shares our values. In addition, we are looking for certain requirements and skills to establish a good person-job-fit:  

• An enthusiastic student who enjoys research, has strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and proactively. 

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field. 

• Proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in technical and organizational innovation. 

• Fluent in English. Native German is an advantage.
