The Data Analytics Team is responsible for the collection, curation, analysis, and reporting of Collins Aerospace components data. The role calls for experience in Python, Databases, SQL, organization/presentation skills, and other software tools/technologies.
This position will sit at our Aguadilla, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.
What YOU will do:
- Perform data analysis using Pandas in Python
- Automate the data analytics process from raw data into final output
- Create visual dashboards given written requirements
- Implement business concepts in ontology
- Provide support to engineering teams to use digital thread in root cause investigations
- Understand context of technical data and how to appropriately normalize data into business metrics
- Create visualizations in a knowledge graph tool for delivery to stakeholders
- Follow and complete stories/tasks in an Agile Scrum project
- Implement machine learning experiments and develop new algorithms
- Perform statistical analysis to quantify completeness and validity of a data source

Qualifications you must have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced degree in Math, Data Science, or Computer Science
- Knowledge of the Aerospace industry
- Knowledge in Agile methodologies
- Knowledge with Python
- Tableau and/or any other visualization tool experience
- Experience with Databricks, AWS S3, GitHub
- Database and SQL experience is a plus
- Knowledge using MS Excel related to v-lookups, macros, VBA, etc.
