Reports To: Lead Production Planner
Job Summary: The Production Planning/Data Analytics Graduate will support the production planning and data analytics teams in various projects and tasks. This role is designed to provide recent graduates with hands-on experience in production planning and data analysis within a manufacturing environment, helping them develop their skills and knowledge in these areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning Support: Assist in the development and maintenance of production schedules. Monitor production progress and help identify and resolve any issues that may impact delivery timelines.
- Data Collection and Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to production processes, inventory levels, and supply chain performance. Use data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on production performance, inventory status, and other key metrics. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, engineering sales and logistics, to support production planning and data analytics efforts.
- Technical Documentation: Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including process maps, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience: Internship or co-op experience in production planning or data analytics is a plus, but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python) and production planning software (e.g., ERP systems).
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges.
