Job Summary

The role holder is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure to ensure reliable, accessible, and high-quality data across the organization. This role requires a blend of skills in data engineering and business intelligence to deliver insights that drive strategic decision-making. You will work closely with data analysts, business stakeholders, and other data professionals to create scalable data models, integrate data sources, and develop dynamic reporting and visualization solutions.

He/she will work with centre colleagues for ingestion of data into Hadoop and will build and maintain the data infrastructure to support the data needs of data analysts and data scientists. This will include building purpose-specific data marts.

Job Description

• Collaborate with center colleagues to ingest data into Hadoop and build purpose-specific data marts to support the needs of MI analysts and data scientists.
• Develop and maintain data infrastructure, integrating and analyzing data using Big Data technologies such as Spark/Scala, AWS Cloud services, and MS SQL Server suite.
• Build and maintain BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), transforming complex data sets into actionable insights while ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including data analysts and business stakeholders, to gather reporting requirements, provide business insights, and deliver user-friendly BI solutions.
• Participate in scoping, planning, and design workshops to ensure solutions meet business needs, and accurately estimate project activities while communicating deviations promptly to leads or project managers.
• Test development work, attend project progress review sessions, and provide feedback to optimize outcomes.
• Continuously optimize data workflows, database performance, and BI dashboards to enhance efficiency and end-user experience.
