Responsibilities

  • Collects, organizes, models, and analyzes healthcare related data using analytical and/or statistical tools
  • Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments
  • Provides correct and appropriate interpretation of data, applying knowledge to evaluation, analysis, and interpretation of data
  • Develops useful methodologies for analyzing and presenting data analysis products using statistics, graphs, images and lists that communicate results to leadership
  • Responsible to take identified, adjudicated data elements through the process of research, analysis, documentation and creation of various cleansing/conditioning techniques to deliver user/system ready data
  • Performs data quality assessments, identifies and prioritizes improvements
  • Assists other functional area analysts as needed with data analysis and generation of SQL to be used in that analysis
  • Identifies and solves issues concerning data management to improve data quality
  • Improves data foundational procedures, guidelines and standards
  • Assists with conversion coding in ETL tool and support conversion design as required
  • Assists with executing data conversions for multiple functional areas within multiple IT environments
  • Works with management and/or client to develop and understand work product specifications
  • Communicates effectively, both orally and written, to varied levels of the organization to include technical personnel, business managers, and leadership
  • Additional duties' as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science, Health Informatics or related field
  • 1+ years of relevant experience required
  • Intermediate to Advanced SQL skills to collect, organize, model, and analyze

Travel: 0-10%

Security Requirement: Must provide favorable background check and National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)

 

Preferred:

  • Microsoft SQL training and relevant certification(s)
  • Medical/Clinician domain background
  • Experience in healthcare data analytics utilizing back-end system data
  • Experienced in Microsoft Power BI and/or SSRS reporting tools
  • Experience working for the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, or other similar government agencies

The salary range for this position is $80,000-$92,000.
