WHAT YOU'LL DO

This position involves working in a multi-disciplinary environment on the design, fabrication and flight testing of advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. We are interested in candidates that are excited to work on new projects from conceptualization through production. This position is for a senior engineer who is capable of independent work as well as serving as mentor for junior engineers in all aspects of design.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in hardware, software, and system integration and validation
  • B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • Must be eligible to obtain or holds an active U.S. Secret or TS/SCI security clearance
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals
    • Regulators, op-amps, diodes, transistors, transformers, etc.
    • Low-speed protocols: I2C, UART, SPI, and RS-485
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetic compatibility, RF debugging techniques, and best RF-practices for industrial and consumer devices
  • Deep understanding of test equipment: oscilloscopes, current/diff-probes, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, network analyzers, amplifiers, attenuators, power supplies, and electronic loads
  • Full-cycle PCB design, including collecting requirements, component selection, schematic design, layout/overview, design reviews, bring-up, validation testing, debugging, and system integration
  • Deep familiarity with root cause and corrective actions
  • Experience with technical, quality assurance, and production documentation packages
  • Familiarity with product life cycle management
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organization, and communication skills
  • Willing to work under tight deadlines across multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Ability to drive product and sub-system requirements throughout a design lifecycle

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in hardware, software, and system integration and validation
  • Proficient with full-cycle PCB design of analog, digital, and high-speed circuitry in Altium
    • High-speed protocols: GbE, PCIe, USB, GMSL (or multimedia equivalent), RF, and CAN
  • Proficient with SPICE simulations
  • Proficient with CEM, PDN, & SI simulation in Ansys or HyperLynx
  • Proficient with data analysis in Matlab or Python
  • Proficient with 3D modeling for electronics in SolidWorks or NX
  • Avionics system development, including architectures, flight controllers, control surfaces, sensor integration, power management, payload interfaces, networking, and system interconnects
  • Familiarity with embedded development, including MCU and CPU selection, interfacing, configuration, development, hardware drivers, bootloaders, device trees, and version control
  • Proficient with hands-on skills such as soldering, PCB modification, and harness construction
  • Experience with compliance testing and spectrum regulatory standards and methods
    • MIL-STD (461/704/810), DO-STD (254/178C/160)
    • FCC, ETSI, UL, or FDA
  • Strong understanding of Windows and Linux command-line and file-system structures
  • Ability to travel and support remote site integration testing up to 20% travel
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in different process stages
  • Experience leading or mentoring early-career engineers

 

US Salary Range$120,700—$216,750 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
