Welcome to the Trading Data Warehouse & BI team, where you will work in an fast-paced, agile environment, with stakeholders representing Scandinavia’s largest trading floor. We are supporting a wide range of business processes in Nordea’s Trading business domain.

About this opportunity

As the Senior Data Engineer you’ll play an important role in our transition to cloud.

What you’ll be doing:

• Designing, building and maintaining near real-time data pipeline
• Interacting with product owners and stakeholders to clarify requirements and detailed reporting needs
• Supporting the transition of the existing Trading Data Warehouse to a modern tech stack
• Ensuring automation through CI/CD across platforms both in cloud and on-premise
• Collaborating with other engineers and properly document your design and solutions

You’ll join a young team of enthusiastic data professionals across Scandinavia, Poland and India. This particular role is based in either Copenhagen or Poland.

Your experience and background:

• Degree in computer science and engineering, mathematical modelling or similar
• Proven work experience as a Senior Data Engineer, building and maintaining performant data platforms for reporting and analytics
• Experience in implementing ELT/ETL models on Snowflake, and Oracle on premise
• Experience with data engineering services on AWS and sourcing data from a Kafka distributed event store and stream-processing platform
• Expert in SQL and Python – experience in Java / Spark is a plus
• Good understanding of data modelling principles, data classification and matching the focus on implementation details
