About the Role

  • Responsible for elicitation, analysis, validation, and documentation of clients’ business needs and requirements.
  • Reviews, elicits, and writes formal specifications and communicates business requirements between development and client to design and implement business solutions.
  • Develops and improves business processes within the technology and business organizations and understands client requirements, specifying and analyzing these to a sufficient or expert level of detail to ensure clarity of definition.
  • Recommends and validates technical solutions to meet requirements based on understanding of how technical solutions will impact the business and stakeholders as required.
  • May work on significant & unique issues requiring evaluation of intangibles and use expertise to provide solutions to complex problems.
  • Implementation of Data Risk and Control framework, monitoring inherent and residual risks changes, control implementations and documentations for Product/Project/Initiative/Mergers and acquisition engagements.
  • Manage data retention and disposal processes to ensure compliance with legal and business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

About You:

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+years of proven experience as a Lead Data Business Analyst or in a similar role, with leadership experience.
  • Ability to translate business issues and requirements into actionable plans, make timely and effective accurate/complete decisions for positive impact
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously with high degree of accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with data and governance frameworks and analytics tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Atlan, AI/BI Tools).
  • Knowledge of data Control/governance and data management best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-jurisdictional requirements.
  • Comfortable leading team meetings and possess strong influencing and networking skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in designing and managing KPIs, and OKRs for data control/ governance.
  • Certification in data management or governance (e.g., CDMP, CIPP) is a plusKey Competencies:

  • Project Delivery: Successfully enable 75% of data analysis projects/initiatives on time and within budget annually.
  • Data Quality Improvement: Achieve a 25% reduction in data errors and inconsistencies within the first year in partnership with Data Stewards.
  • Stakeholder Satisfaction: Achieve a stakeholder satisfaction score of 80% or higher for data control/governance services.
  • Team Development: Increase the skill level and productivity of the data business analyst team by 95% within the first year.
  • Insight Utilization: Ensure that 25% of data insights and recommendations are resulting out of business needs and 100% implemented by business units.
