What’s unique about this role?

Spearheading leadership and delivery buildout of multiple AI & Analytics services operations in the Asia Pacific office focusing both on predictive and generative AI offerings.  This is a hands-on leadership role needing consulting skills with both internal and external clients on AI & Analytics initiatives identifying preferred paths to completing projects with a focus on reducing costs, increasing speed of delivery and use of Lighthouse technologies to drive client satisfaction. In addition to providing an offshore delivery function, this group will drive internal initiatives focused on AI innovation (e.g., new offering solution design and validation) and delivery excellence (e.g., developing new validation and quality control techniques).

What will this person do?

  • Managing a team of 8-12, handling a wide range of e-discovery analytics matters, including large and complex multi-jurisdictional matters, working closely with North American and UK offices.
  • Good understanding of structured analytics, TAR workflows, GenAI prompting and post-GenAI QC methodology. 
  • Well connected with stakeholders in the US and global Lighthouse offices, initiating and building a strong, responsible, and committed delivery and innovation team in the APAC region for a firm Follow the Sun model.
  • Work across APAC leadership in aligning the AIA APAC team with the Global Lighthouse standards, processes and procedures.
  • Strong decision-making skills for hiring, budgeting, driving the Annual Review Process and building talent and teams in India that can enable smooth operations offshore. 
  • Dynamic personality who understands the needs & challenges of the team while bringing them up to APAC and US leadership radar when needed.
  • Ability to connect and communicate with internal and external clients for any new eDiscovery analytics matter, including related escalations. 
  • Good understanding of team KPIs, being able to explain, analyze, and report out on them to APAC and US leadership stakeholders. 
  • Work with US and APAC leadership to map and drive organizational goals as well as enhance the brand.

  • Master’s degree in law, science, and/or technology
  • Master-level expert in at least one eDiscovery analytics workbench
  • 12-15 years of experience within eDiscovery services domain
  • Nuanced understanding and hands on experience with eDiscovery analytics platform including Lighthouse Search/Analytics, Brainspace, and Relativity.
  • Design quarterly, monthly, and daily goals that drive stand up meetings and encourage participation from all levels within the team.
  • Involved in Interviewing processes for new hiring and providing overall feedback of candidates, based on available roles and culture fit.
  • Sufficient knowledge of predictive AI, generative AI, advanced search, and linguistic methodology to propose and validate new process workflows. 
  • Work with US and APAC leadership to design quarterly business reviews to bring visibility to APAC AIA impact and opportunities for growth.
  • Pioneer and implement industry trends and recommend certifications and trainings to enhance skill profile across the team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with other Senior Managers and Directors in structuring and restructuring the team as per business needs.
  • Ability to engage across a range of backgrounds and levels of seniority with the ability to Escalate matters that might be impacting Business or Individuals.
  • Travel for business purposes as required.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Duties are performed in a typical office environment while at a desk or computer table.
  • Duties require the ability to use a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material, in a quiet and professional setting.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
