Data & AI Governance Manager

As Data and AI manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing governance policies and procedures, and advising our internal stakeholders on best practices in data management, including data quality, data architecture, and data lifecycle management. This role requires a deep understanding of data management, AI ethics, regulatory compliance, and risk management, and will work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and support the development of data-driven solutions to enhance our data management capabilities.

Your role

• You design and implement comprehensive Data and AI governance frameworks and data quality management processes to identify and resolve data issues;

• You develop policies and procedures for managing data throughout its lifecycle and enforce policies and guidelines to ensure ethical use of Data and AI;

• You promote ethical AI, implement mechanisms to monitor biases in AI models and develop accountability measures for AI systems;

• You identify risks related to Data and AI initiatives, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and monitor on risk mitigation activities;

• You ensure that Data and AI related policies are consistently applied across Fugro;

• You foster a culture of responsible Data and AI usage within Fugro by providing training and support on data management and Data and AI governance tools.

Your track record

• You have a BSc or MSc degree in Data Science Information Technology or Business Administration Law with at least 8 years of experience in a related field;

• As a plus, you are certified in CIPP, CIPM, CDMP and DGSP;

• You have good knowledge of data management and governance principles, AI ethics, governance frameworks, data modelling, data warehousing and ETL processes;

• You have effective communication, presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in simple ways;

• You have strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills;

• You are client oriented and can initiate decisions and actions to build consensus;

• You have excellent English language skills, both written and oral. Any additional European language skills are seen as a plus.
