We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team at FandDuel as a Senior Data Engineer. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in unlocking the full potential of vast amounts of real-time and relational data, providing valuable insights to our business and delivering a world-class personalized experience to our customers. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering teams to build and enhance our online applications.
• Build automated tools to ingest, transform, and present data as a coherent product.
• Provide a common information framework for intelligent decision-making.
• Ensure scalability and availability of data systems used by engineers.
• Use AWS and its associated tools for cloud-based infrastructure.
• Process large workloads using distributed data systems like Databricks, Spark, and Flink.
• Handle real-time streaming workloads with event systems such as Kafka and Kinesis.
• Write code in Python, Java, or equivalent object-oriented languages.
• Work with SQL, relational databases, and cloud data stores.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for provisioning and managing infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Deep understanding and passion for building highly scalable systems.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud environments.
• Experience with distributed data systems and real-time streaming.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or equivalent programming languages.
• Experience with Kafka, Spark and Databricks, or equivalent technologies.
• Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, and cloud data stores.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Excellent understanding of infrastructure set-up for scalable data platforms.
• Providing On-call support to cover major incidents
