Homes.com (a subsidiary of CoStar Group) is a growing marketplace, reimagining the home search experience for consumers. We are reimagining the Homes.com Network to efficiently connect builders with buyers and their agents and generate maximum exposure for their communities.

The Data Integration Specialist will be responsible for gathering and interpreting data to identify opportunities for improvement in data quality, coverage, and consistency.  They will need to query data sources and databases to isolate data anomalies and provide recommendations for how those anomalies should be handled. To be successful in the role, multitasking and managing multiple systems individually or as part of a team will be required. This work includes leveraging various manual performance reporting monitors to determine if an issue exists and its severity, timely reporting of events and performance statistics. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • On-board new data feeds/conversions including data analysis, data mapping, testing and implementation 
  • Monitor daily feeds runs, evaluate feed failures to determine root cause  
  • Review site for data defects and identify ways to remediate the defects before data is in production  
  • Work with internal/external resources to resolve feed failures 
  • Notify internal team of feed performance issues and failures 
  • Understand applications and their interdependencies 
  • Generate datasets and identify business metrics 
  • Maintain consistent and standardized use of metrics across all reports and dashboards 
  • Utilize a user group forum to share best practices around analytical findings based on the analysis conducted 
  • Communicate issue statuses and challenges to senior management 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelors’ degree from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College
  • Track record of commitment to prior employers
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in data integration or related field 
  • Proficient in MS Office tools required 
  • Experience with Json, XML, XSLT 1.0 and 2.0, and XDS 
  • Experience with SQL Server databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server, and creating SQL queries Experience in relational database, data analysis, and performance tuning; experience testing, and maintaining reporting processes 
  • Effectively interface with dynamic development teams  
  • Understand data elements in the data warehouse at a very detailed level to support any form of user needs from research to ad-hoc queries to managing large information projects. 
  • Experience in managing integration projects, including timelines, deliverables, stakeholder communications   
  • Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., Conflict Resolution, Negotiation, etc.) when dealing with internal and/or external audiences   

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE  

  • Understanding of C# and Python 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of residential real estate   
  • Preference given to candidates who possess a thorough understanding of multifamily real estate, including the marketing objectives of property owners  
  • Ability to plan and organize workload and deliver results in a fast-paced environment  
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high growth company  
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a technical aptitude 
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, written, and verbal skills 
  • Prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects 
  • Take initiative and work independently and in collaboration with peers 
  • Desire and ability to use technology to drive creativity 
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for learning and problem solving
