Job Title

Omnicell’s Global Optimization and Process team is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst. The successful candidate will work closely with business partners to drive strategy and execution of Global Supply Chain analytics. This is a fast-paced, highly technical, and continually evolving manufacturing business with significant growth potential.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate Across Departments: Partner with teams in Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sourcing, Logistics and Professional Services to understand analytics and system enhancement needs.
  • Gather and Document Requirements: Work with cross-functional teams to define and document business requirements for system enhancements and the development of metrics and KPI dashboards.
  • Translate Requirements to Data Elements: Convert business requirements related to reporting and dashboards into specific data elements.
  • Leverage SAP Expertise: Utilize proficiency in SAP database tables, including material master, vendor master, customer master, cost centers, production, quality management, sales, and procurement transactions, to understand data relationships.
  • Data Storytelling and Communication: Demonstrate strong data storytelling abilities and effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Create Value-Driven Dashboards: Design and develop dashboards using Tableau to present various data representations that drive business value.
  • Develop SQL Queries and Procedures: Write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures on MS SQL Server to support complex reporting requirements.
  • Build Predictive Analytics Dashboards: Understand business needs and create dashboards that support predictive analytics.
  • Data Governance Initiatives: Play a key role in data governance by developing reports and dashboards highlighting data quality issues and subsequently help team to resolve these challenges.
  • Drive Training and Communication: Lead solution development, communicate with internal customers, and provide training to business partners on reports and data visualization tools.
  • Identify and Implement New Reporting Solutions: Identify opportunities for new reporting methods that drive operational improvements.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • In-Depth SAP Knowledge: Strong technical expertise in SAP master data elements and processes, with a deep understanding of BOMs/routings, operations processes, and MRP setup and operations.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business processes and data into actionable insights and solutions.
  • Data Visualization Expertise: Advanced skills in data visualization, with experience in building and managing dashboards using Tableau.
  • Data Analysis and SQL Proficiency: Expertise in data analysis with strong proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and advanced formulas (e.g., SUMIF, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP).
  • Predictive Modeling and Statistical Analysis: Experience in predictive modeling and statistical analysis, with the ability to develop and implement models to predict and influence outcomes.
  • Project Management Capabilities: Strong project management skills, particularly in prioritizing tasks within a global operations context.
  • Problem-Solving Acumen: A strong problem-solving mindset with a keen ability to perform root cause analysis, interpret data, and resolve complex issues.
  • ETL and Data Governance Knowledge: Proficiency with ETL tools and a solid understanding of Master Data Governance processes.
  • Technical Documentation Skills: Ability to write clear functional and technical specifications, develop test scripts, and execute test cycles effectively.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively across teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with Data Analytics experience within Manufacturing Environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with BI Tools, Tableau and SQL
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with ETL Tools
  • 4 years of Functional Analyst Experience in any of SAP MM/PP/SD Modules
  • 4 years of Experience in Master Data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree 
  • 4 years of experience with Tableau 
  • 4 years of experience working with ETL tools
  • 6 years of hands-on experience on SAP Master Data
  • Exposure to C4C, SalesForce and/or S/4Hana 
  • Tableau site administration experience 

Work Conditions

  • Occasional work outside normal business hours is required
