Director, IT Data Management

We’re looking for a hands-on, visionary leader to take charge of our data assets as our Director of Data Management on our Corporate IT team. In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the implementation of cutting-edge data architecture, databases, and storage solutions that keep our data accessible, secure, and streamlined. Are you passionate about this work?

• Develop and manage the architecture for data storage, integration, and distribution to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting. 
• Lead efforts to streamline data integration processes and eliminate data silos across the organization. 
• Design and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, privacy, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). 
• Oversee data classification, metadata management, and retention strategies. 
• Ensure data security measures are implemented and maintained to safeguard sensitive and critical data. 
• Evaluate and recommend new data management tools, technologies, and platforms to enhance data operations and capabilities. 
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing data management team, providing guidance on best practices, methodologies, and tools. 
• Collaborate with business and analytics teams to enable actionable insights through data-driven decision-making.

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, data science, or a similar area of technical study, or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of experience with progressively increasing responsibilities.
• Strong background in database management systems, data warehousing, cloud platforms, and data integration techniques.
• Understanding of data within ERP and CRM systems (SyteLine ERP and Salesforce CRM experience preferred; SAP experience a plus).
• Manufacturing industry experience.
• Experience utilizing AI/ML technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and security best practices.
• Experience in managing and improving data quality, consistency, and integrity across the organization.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and mentoring cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to develop and implement data strategies aligned with business objectives.
• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for data optimization and streamlining processes.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders; experience writing technical documentation.
• Eager to learn new skills and step in to deliver where needed.
