What You Will Do:
We are currently searching for Data Analyst and Research Associate. This position is to support epidemiologic research in the unit, including data preparation/cleaning, data analysis, data presentation/visualization and literature review. This is a full-time position in Baltimore, MD.

  • Develop data dictionaries for each database.

  • Prepare databases and reports for staff; perform various tracking and analysis of branch data to include spreadsheet preparation and interpretation.

  • Provide final data sets for each project.

  • Perform statistical analysis for each project.

  • Provide analysis, analytical modeling, and/or data visualization on data sets using relevant data tools.

  • Prepare tables and figures from data analyses.

  • Provide draft results and output for statistician review.

  • Maintain data for past and present studies.

  • Maintain and update electronic copies of all databases and data dictionaries developed for projects.

  • Provide support for all data sharing related activities; create and maintain data access and data submission tracking systems and reports to be presented to senior program leadership.

  • Perform database analysis to look for incomplete data elements.

  • Identify possible trends and patterns in the data; communicate relevant findings that support problem solving and decision making.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • A minimum of TWO (2) years of experience. 

  • Proficient in statistical modeling and/or research

  • Experience in performing literature review and/or data presentation.

  • Machine learning experience  

  • Data cleaning and/or Data analysis experience.

  • Proficient in using R Markdown, Python, STATA, and/or SAS


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Previous experience with the National Institute of Health (NIH).

  • Preferred if candidate has a R Certificate, SAS Global Certification, and/or Coursera Machine Learning Certification

  • Experience in Nutrition Sciences, Community and Public Health, Statistics and Decision Science, Clinical Psychology, General Social Sciences, or related field preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $57,300.00-$85,900.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
