Projects & Support including
- Advanced Analytics: Design and execute frameworks for initiatives such as sales attribution modeling and customer behavioral analytics.
- Strategic Projects: Deliver high-impact projects, such as Project PULSE, to transform data into strategic insights.
- Management Reports – Operate Management BI and sales BI and drive continuous improvement employing process driven approach with established SOPs.
- APAC Analytics Forum (ABCD Forum) – Lead the forum to improve data literacy and analytical capabilities from APAC markets.
- No budget responsibility expected
Principle responsibilities include
- Advanced Analytics:
- Lead advanced analytics initiatives (e.g. sales attribution analytics, lead conversion, promotional effectiveness analytics, etc) to derive actionable insights in partnership with the Global Commercial Organization (GCO Data Analytics) and APAC local markets.
- Identify opportunities within APAC markets to apply advanced analytics, including AI/ML, to solve complex business challenges.
- Lead strategic analytics projects involving collaboration with global teams and external vendors, ensuring alignment with regional and global business strategies.
- Ensure timely deployment of solutions, driving adoption and impactful implementation across APAC markets.
- BI Insight Generation:
- Drive BI insight generation efforts using a "Test & Learn" approach to uncover and validate business opportunities.
- Develop and communicate actionable insights through dashboards, reports, and presentations to influence strategic decisions and drive business impact.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with APAC regional and local Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Inventory teams to enhance analytics capabilities and support data enrichment initiatives.
- Focus on key strategic areas such as Strategic Key Account (SKA) and Channel Management Analytics to align analytics projects with business objectives and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- BI Continuous Improvement & Operations:
- Partner with the APAC Sales Analytics Manager to co-develop BI continuous improvement processes and ensure operational excellence in data analytics delivery.
- Oversee the consistent delivery of high-quality, actionable BI reports.
- Change Management:
- Drive regular APAC meetings (e.g., ABCD Forum) and coordinate local BI champion activities to promote analytics adoption and change management.
- Develop and execute change management plans and communications for various commercial systems.
- Data Quality & Governance:
- Partner with the APAC Data Governance Manager to continuously improve data quality and lineage, ensuring data consistency and reliability across the Commercial organization.
- Validate regional data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and uniformity, building trust in analytics outputs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in managing strategic data science projects with global or vendor collaboration.
- Proven experience in managing change management initiatives and driving market adoption of new technologies.
- Ability to analyze and understand business needs for analytics and generate ideas for data analytics initiatives. Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Highly analytical with strong commercial acumen.
- Adopt to a fast pace and evolving environment.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ability to collaborate with local, regional and global functions/stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with data governance, compliance practices, and data quality management.
- Proficiency in analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, COGNOS.
Work Environment:
- Location: Singapore
- Able to travel within APAC region (~15%)
- Prolonged computer and screen use
Experience:
- 10+ years of professional experience in data analytics, advanced analytics, or business intelligence, with a proven track record of embedding analytics into business processes.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with advanced analytics techniques, including statistical modeling, machine learning, and data science.
- 3+ years of experience leading analytics or data science projects, ideally within a regional or global context. Demonstrated experience delivering analytics solutions that influence business strategy and decision-making.
- Competency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, COGNOS)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Education:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, or Engineering.
- Preferred Education: Master’s degree or higher in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
