About the Team:

Join the Finance Insights & Analytics team, a pivotal group within the organization responsible for delivering critical financial insights to our finance partners. We manage and analyze sensitive financial metrics like Demand and OpGMV to drive strategic decision-making. Our team prides itself on maintaining high standards of data quality and operational excellence, ensuring that our financial data is accurate, reliable, and actionable.

Description:

We are looking for a talented Mid-Level Data Engineer with 2-5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS and GCP, proficiency in writing complex SQL scripts, and experience orchestrating data pipelines with Airflow. The candidate should also be capable of conducting data quality checks, writing thorough documentation, and providing operational support as part of an on-call rotation.

Core Competencies:

  • AWS and GCP Expertise: Proven experience with cloud platforms AWS and GCP, including data storage, compute services, and data processing tools.
  • SQL Proficiency: Strong ability to write and optimize SQL scripts incorporating complex business logic.
  • Airflow Orchestration: Experience in designing, implementing, and managing data workflows using Apache Airflow.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ability to implement data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial metrics.
  • Documentation: Competent in writing clear and comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, processes, and data structures.
  • Operational Support: Willingness and capability to participate in an on-call rotation to support operational software and ensure system reliability.
  • Financial Data Handling: Experience managing and securing sensitive financial data, with a focus on metrics like Demand and OpGMV.
  • Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with finance partners and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in data engineering or a related role.
  • Proven experience with AWS and GCP.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with Airflow.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Pay Range Details

California: $115,763 - $188,500 Annually, Colorado: $103,000 - $160,500 Annually, Connecticut: $103,000 - $188,500 Annually, Hawaii: $103,000 - $160,500 Annually, Illinois: $103,000 - $160,500 Annually, Maryland: $103,000 - $188,500 Annually, Massachusetts: $103,000 - $188,500 Annually, Minnesota: $103,000 - $160,500 Annually, Nevada: $103,000 - $160,500 Annually, New York: $103,000 - 188,500 Annually, Rhode Island: $103,000 - $160,500 Annually, Washington: $103,000 - 188,500 Annually, Washington DC: $121,500 - $188,500 Annually
