JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Opportunity...

Commvault is currently seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead AI initiatives in the data protection and security space. An ideal candidate will exhibit a strong understanding of latest AI and ML methodologies and apply such skills to building superior products and solutions at Commvault. This person will work closely with various cross functional teams - Engineering, UX Designers, Product Managers, Operations, Support, and Marketing - to execute and roll out data protection and security solutions. This is a hands-on role, an ideal candidate is expected to work with Commvault products directly, experience the product, be able to demonstrate features where needed and provide critical and relevant feedback to engineering. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

What you'll do...

  • Lead the technology strategy for AI integrations, and understand, ideate, and initiate product ideas leveraging latest research in Generative AI
  • Be a better judge of which products and features could benefit from AI integrations and make cutthroat prioritization calls on product roadmap
  • Passionate about delighting enterprise customers, and an excellent understanding of enterprise workloads across several verticals
  • Ability to write detailed product requirements with sufficient technical detail to provide accurate inputs to engineering
  • Ability to get hands-on when needed - evaluate, fine-tune, and test models, providing critical feedback to engineering
  • Work cross functionally – engineering, sales, marketing, and support – to execute on product requirements in an agile fashion
  • Be a customer champion – evangelize the product to drive adoption and act as a trusted advisor to customers
  • Be a thought leader in the AI enabled enterprise solution space, effectively communicating product capabilities to capture mind share and establish product leadership

Who you are...

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science
  • At least 10 years of prior product management or engineering experience in the enterprise software industry
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for internal and external dialog
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to influence product decisions across the organization
  • Self-driven, capable of working in a team or alone, drives results through proactive collaboration within and outside team
  • Strong technical skills in AI/ML, distributed systems, cloud platforms and data analytics
  • Proven track record of launching new products or services for self-managed or SAAS consumption models
  • Strong user experience focus with ability to work with UX developers to deliver modern product experience

$165,500 - $287,500
