Technical Director

The Technical Director is responsible for:

• The management and upgrade of the company’s IT infrastructure and technical product offering.
  
• Product development to complement and enhance the company’s suite of data-centric business intelligence products for the construction industry.
  

Technology Leadership

• In this position you are expected to serve as a technology and business leader. This involves demonstrating hands-on leadership in developing and executing the company’s operational and strategic objectives.
  
• Building and managing a world-class technical team that comprises direct recruits and a network of subcontractors to manage the company’s IT infrastructure and product development initiatives.
  
• Identifying and proactively acting upon technical opportunities, trends and risks that influence the company’s ability to create a global business intelligence service for the construction industry.
  
• Participate as a member of the senior management team in establishing governance processes to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed and the organization’s resources are used responsibly.
  

Infrastructure Management

• Ensuring high efficiency, reliability, and security of the company’s IT infrastructure.
  
• Directing the development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
  

Research, Product Development & Project Management

• Creating a high-energy, fast paced, result-oriented product development process and culture.
  
• Developing a suite of integrated web and mobile products to deliver an unparalleled business intelligence service for the construction industry.
  
• Analyzing and monitoring trends including existing and emerging technologies, evolving social networking behavior, best practices and legal and regulatory requirements.
  
• Establishing and managing the software development processes in accordance with industry best practices to meet project objectives, deadlines, and budgets.
  
• Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including web application frameworks and the deployment stack) for delivering the company’s services.
  
• Supporting the marketing process by implementing technical requirements for Internet marketing and search engine optimization.
  

General Management

• Managing an annual operating and capital budget for the IT and R&D functions.
  
• Ensuring the organization’s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  
• Responsibility for the governance process to meet legal, customer, government, company and partner expectations for customer information privacy as well as an enterprise-wide information security to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company’s data and IT infrastructure.
  

Requirements

• 10+ years management experience in a leadership role involved with Software Product Development for data-centric processes. The ideal candidate for this position will have a successful track record with managing the complete software development cycle.
  
• Expertise with Python, Angular, AWS cloud services, SaaS system architecture, Elastic search, AI, ML, blockchain, databases, database reporting tools and data intensive applications and technologies.
  
• Expertise in building social media platforms and online communities.
  
• An understanding of CRM systems from a customer and developers perspective.
  
• Project Management experience that includes managing direct reports and 3rd party vendors.
  
• Experience with implementing and working with ISO 27001 and data privacy laws such as GDPR.
  
• An eye for detail and a passion for perfection.
  
• Physical presence required.
