Our challenge
We are looking for an experienced Control-M Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Control-M batch scheduling and administration, with a strong background in migration projects and scripting. This role requires a deep understanding of various operating systems and file transfer protocols, alongside proficiency in version control systems.
Additional Information
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Alpharetta, GA is $120k - $130/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Control-M batch scheduling solutions to optimize business processes.
- Administer Control-M environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Lead migration projects from legacy systems to Control-M, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate job scheduling and enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage and troubleshoot file transfer components and protocols to ensure seamless data movement.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate Control-M with other tools and applications.
- Utilize version control systems such as SVN, GIT, and BitBucket for code management.
- Provide expertise in Linux (CentOS, RedHat) and Windows operating systems, ensuring proper administration and support.
- Implement and manage Control-M Automation API for advanced scheduling and automation needs.
Requirements:
You are:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Control-M Architect, with a strong focus on batch scheduling and administration.
- Demonstrated experience in migration projects involving Control-M.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation tasks.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux (CentOS, RedHat) and Windows operating systems.
- Familiarity with file transfer components and protocols (e.g., FTP, SFTP).
- Experience with version control systems, including SVN, GIT, and BitBucket.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
