Analytics Engineer (Performance Marketing) (StubHub, Inc., New York, NY)

 

Transform and analyze large scale financial data with modern cloud computing platforms including SparkSQL, BigQuery, Snowflake, and Databricks. Collaborate in the development or testing of new analytical software to ensure compliance with user requirements, specifications, or scope. Utilize SQL, programming languages (Python or Java), and markup/configuration languages (YAML) to develop core analytical capabilities or model libraries. Confer with other financial engineers or analysts on system performance to inform development of quantitative techniques. Build financial data models and pipelines using orchestration software (Airflow and DBT). Participate in batch data processing and the creation of real-time financial data streaming technologies. Build financial reports/dashboards with business intelligence (BI) tools including Tableau, Hex, and Looker. Work with data cataloging and metadata management tools, as well as with non-technical stakeholders to assess, anticipate, and deliver on their data needs. Manage cross-functional analytical data models, metric frameworks and implementations, and self-serve dashboards/tools. Specialize in the financial business domains, building deep expertise and anticipating the needs of the business vertical. Collaborate cross functionally with business, product, and engineering teams. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 2 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to StubHub, Inc. at 3 World Trade Center – 175 Greenwich Street, 59th Floor, New York, New York 10007. Salary: $140,000 to $185,000 per year.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field, plus 4 years of professional experience as a Research Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or related occupation/position/job title involving quantitative data analytics.

 

Must also have experience in the following: 3 years of professional experience working with BigQuery and GCP to write efficient SQL and scripts to ingest data into Snowflake; 2 years of professional experience leveraging Snowflake SQL to transform and analyze large sets of financial data; 2 years of professional experience with programming languages (including Python or Java) and configuration files (including YAML); 2 years of professional experience building financial data models and pipelines using DBT and Airflow; 2 years of professional experience building reports and dashboards for technical and non-technical stakeholders using BI tools (including Tableau and Hex); and 2 years of professional experience leveraging statistics with Snowflake SQL and Python to drive meaningful insights for financial decision-making.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
