Summary

 The BI Developer role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that meet our organization’s needs alongside other technical resources on the team. This role will act as the expert in business requirements gathering, Power BI development, Kimball data modeling and integration of data.  

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather business requirements needed to build analytics/visualizations and translate them into technical specifications 
• Partner with business stakeholders to determine roles and responsibilities for schedule, testing, deployment and adoption of analytics and reporting visualizations 
• Design and implement data models using Kimball methodology to support business intelligence and reporting needs 
• Develop, deploy, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and performance 
• Integrate data from various sources, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and other Microsoft technologies 
• Use DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) queries for complex data analysis and calculations in centralized Power BI Semantic Models
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all BI solutions
• Provide support and troubleshooting for BI solutions, addressing any issues that arise
• Stay current with the latest BI trends and technologies to continuously improve our BI capabilities 

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field 
• 3-5 years of related experience and/or training with BI tools and technologies 
• Proven experience as a BI Developer or similar role 
• Strong experience with Power BI software and development, including DAX 
• Proficient in Kimball data modeling techniques 
• Strong background in the Microsoft technology stack, particularly Azure or Fabric Technology 
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team  
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices preferred 
• Familiarity with ETL processes and tools preferred 

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

• Annual Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
