The mission has started. We proudly announce that in our Battery Valley we are starting our own battery cell production and the ramp up of our worldwide headquarters for global cell manufacturing. The CTO organization takes care of the battery cell development. Our responsibility includes research, predevelopment of materials and components, series development, prototyping, testing and analysis of battery cells. 

 

How you will CELLebrate

  • Coordinating, analyzing, interpreting and evaluating detailed experiments and battery testing on automotive and laboratory scale to gain electrochemical properties of electrodes and materials
  • Supporting development of the next generation of batteries in e-mobility applications
  • Developing, implementing and supporting strategic projects and partnerships. Project management and interdisciplinary cooperation with internal development teams and external partners
  • Taking a leading role in developing, coordinating, monitoring and analyzing batterie tests. Managing samples, electrodes and materials for testing in the lab. Creating and maintaining a test database
  • Developing suitable measurement methods for testing the battery behavior and validation of the simulation models
 

What you need for our CELLebration

  • Successfully completed (under-)graduate degree in chemistry, materials science, physics, computer science, mathematics, engineering or a comparable qualification
  • Interest in developing batteries for the next generations. Knowledge in the fields of Li-ion technology and electrochemistry and willingness to dive deep into the topic
  • Relevant experience in data analysis. Good programming skills for data processing and visualization (e.g. MATLAB, Python, numpy, scipy, pandas, Plotly, Bokeh, PowerBI)
  • Expert skills in English
 

What else can you bring

  • Several years of experience in industry related to battery cells
  • High degree of initiative
  • Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and ability to work on several projects and tasks in parallel. High analytical competence
  • Experience with the organization of data in tables and data structures (e.g. SQL) and basic knowledge of SQL-queries. Experience with PySpark and/or Databricks
  • Great communications, organization and project management skills- Above-average ability to work in a team
