Finance Operations Controller (Inventory Controlling and Data Analytics)

Fixed Term Contract: 18 months.

Location: Kaiseraugst

Hybrid

 

 

We are seeking a professional and experienced Finance Operations Controller with a strong focus on Inventory Controlling and Data Analytics to join our team. This is a fixed term contract role for 18 months, based in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland with a hybrid work model.

 

The role is critical in supporting the transformation of inventory reporting from two legacy systems to a new centralized financial reporting system.

As our successful Finance Operations Controller, you will play a key role in creating and maintaining Power BI reporting tools, facilitating inventory forecasting processes, and driving inventory optimization initiatives.

Your key responsibilities:

Inventory Controlling and Reporting Transformation:

  • Support the migration of inventory reporting processes from legacy systems to a centralized financial reporting system.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and tools to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare and maintain the global inventory provision file (WD-3) monthly.

Inventory Management and Optimization:

  • Upload and manage data for Blocked Stock and Restricted Use Stock in Power BI.
  • Facilitate the inventory forecasting process, ensuring alignment with financial and operational objectives.
  • Drive inventory optimization initiatives, including SOP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes.

Business Partnering:

  • Act as a trusted partner to key stakeholders in Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve inventory management and reporting processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment between financial and operational goals.

Data Analytics:

  • Analyze inventory trends and identify areas for improvement using advanced analytics.
  • Leverage data visualization tools to provide clear, actionable insights for decision-making.

You bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in operations controlling, inventory management, or a very similar role.
  • Preferred certifications: APICS (e.g., CPIM or CSCP), Power BI certifications, or similar credentials.
  • Proven experience with financial reporting systems and data transformation projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Excel, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong knowledge of SOP processes and inventory optimization strategies.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • Proactive Problem-Solver: Ability to anticipate challenges and propose effective solutions.
  • Detail-Oriented: Ensures accuracy and thoroughness in all reporting and analysis.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Capable of conveying technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to diverse stakeholders.
