Apple is looking for an Applications Engineer to help us push the limits on the next generation of interactive computing for our platform. This team is working with some of Apple's most advanced technologies including augmented reality (AR), machine learning (ML), and computer vision (CV). As a member of our organization you will drive exploration of future products that will delight, inspire and empower millions of people.

Description


Apple makes the newest technologies accessible to create amazing user experiences. You will have the opportunity to develop prototypes at the bleeding edge of technology to find the best experiences for our products. We work closely with Apple's Human Interface design team to define the next generation of computing. The ideal candidate for this role is comfortable working in a dynamic and creative environment. Engineers are expected to work quickly and smartly to help determine the viability of ideas and technologies. You will work closely with artists, designers and engineers to define and prove new application concepts and UX paradigms, and solve incredibly challenging and interesting technical problems.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or 0-2 years of equivalent industry work experience.
  • Basic understanding of computer science fundamentals like data structures, algorithms, and object oriented design.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Swift, Objective-C, C++, Java, Python etc.)
  • Experience through internships, hackathons, or personal projects.


Preferred Qualifications


  • 2 years of experience in iOS development.
  • Experience with AR application development.
  • Experience with basic software development practices (e.g. code reviews, testing, documentation etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with team members.
  • Openness to receiving and providing feedback in a collaborative environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.


Pay & Benefits


  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $183,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
