The Marlin Alliance, Inc. is seeking dedicated and experienced Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in DevSecOps and proficiency in Agile Core Services (ACS). A Secret Clearance is required for this role.

Established in 2002, The Marlin Alliance is seeking to hire highly skilled individuals to support mission critical projects within the Navy. We are looking for motivated individuals to lead and support digital transformation, data science and analytics, and automation projects for variety of Navy clients. Individuals must be able to function in a fast-paced work environment and able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing requirements and technologies. Using your comprehensive knowledge of various technologies, you will design, develop, and implement solutions to support Navy mission owners in their digital transformation journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain software solutions aligned with Agile Core Services framework to support Navy tactical networks and enterprise IT systems.
  • Build and enhance shared services frameworks, including APIs, authentication systems, and data-sharing platforms.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for rapid, secure software delivery, ensuring compliance with Navy IT and cybersecurity policies.
  • Integrate security practices throughout the development lifecycle, employing tools for container scanning, vulnerability assessments, and automated compliance checks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design secure, cloud-enabled architectures supporting hybrid and on-premises environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure for DoD).
  • Ensure interoperability with existing Navy systems, including CANES, NMCI, and other tactical networks.
  • Contribute to the creation and refinement of development and testing environments for secure application deployment.
  • Support Agile program management processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery of capabilities.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on SecDevOps and Agile Core Services.
  • Proficiency in secure software development and deployment using languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Experience with DevSecOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Strong understanding of Department of Defense IT security requirements, including RMF and NIST frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, including AWS GovCloud, Microsoft Azure, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe) and tools like Jira or Confluence.
