For our Engineering & Technology Transformation practice, we are on the lookout for leading technical specialists who not only possess deep technology expertise but can also translate complex business challenges into impactful solutions. Equally important is their ability to explain technology developments and choices in terms of business impact.
 

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Cloud Consultant for our Cloud domain. This role requires a highly skilled technical leader who will drive client engagements and translate complex business challenges into effective cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record working with senior stakeholders in the Netherlands and possess extensive knowledge of Azure and AWS. In this role you will:

• Technical Leadership: Serve as a natural leader, articulating the benefits and challenges of cloud adoption to senior stakeholders in the financial services sector.
• Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to deliver pragmatic cloud solutions that address both technical and business challenges.
• Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities by leading proposals and bid teams, showcasing your expertise in cloud technologies.
• Project Oversight: Direct geographically distributed teams, engaging with client stakeholders to oversee cloud implementation progress across various service offerings.
• Cloud Solutions Design: Develop and implement cloud strategies utilizing extensive knowledge of cloud platforms and best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and container technologies.

What You Bring

• Education & Experience: A master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent, with 5–7 years in a comparable cloud-focused role.
• Cloud Expertise: Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, along with certifications (AZ-900, AZ-305, AZ-400, AWS Practitioner, DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
• DevOps Knowledge: Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and container technologies.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models, as well as proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and familiarity with PowerShell and Python.
• Transition Experience: Demonstrated experience with cloud transitions and transformations, and the ability to assess application portfolios for cloud suitability.
• Communication & Leadership: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to lead on- and offshore teams, workshops, and client sessions.
• Advisory Skills: Strong advisory competencies and the ability to explain complex concepts simply, coupled with commercial acumen to identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
• Industry Knowledge: Good knowledge of the financial services industry or other highly regulated industries, and confidence in connecting with CTOs, CIOs, and senior IT management.
