Primary Research & Insights provides a high quality primary research management and advice service. Data Manager will Support Development and Operations of Research Data Finder and it’s DataOps (Data operations). The role will be responsible for ensuring the seamless integration, management, and optimization of data assets, working closely with PRI Ops Data Managers, PR&I team and the IT team.
The Primary Research & Insights Operations team is currently seeking a Data Manager to work on Data operations support for internal data management and analytics product. . You will have access to large sets of complex data and utilize your skills in developing/supporting products that solve complex data problems, automate existing processes various tools. Along with this you will also be collaborating with IT and business teams to create scalable solutions as per business requirements that cater to the large volumes of research data used within Gartner.
What you will do:
Data Pipeline Management: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and storage.
Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, ensuring data consistency and reliability.
Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and validation processes to ensure data integrity.
ETL Processes: Develop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to transform raw data into usable formats.
Database Management: Design, implement, and maintain databases and data warehouses.
Data Analysis and Visualization: Collaborate with data peers to analyze data and create visualizations that communicate insights effectively.
Performance Optimization: Optimize data workflows and query performance for efficiency.
Collaboration: Work closely with PRI Ops Data Managers and the IT team to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
Automation: Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data engineering and data science processes and systems.
What will you need:
Graduation or Post-graduate in Engineering, Math or Statistics with 2 – 4 years in data analytics with primary research data (good to have), large and complex datasets and schemas or managing data & database for machine learning/AI application to drive business impact.
Exposure to DataOps methodology
Advanced data manipulation, modelling and visualization skills (Python, SQL, Power BI, Databricks, API, Connectors, Excel, Powerpoint) and experience with Python frameworks.
Proficiency in designing efficient and scalable data models that support business intelligence and analytics requirements.
Expertise in SQL for querying and managing databases and understanding database design principles.
Knowledge of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to prepare and integrate data from various sources.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure/ Azure ML.
Proficiency in data modeling and schema design to ensure data is structured and stored efficiently.
Good to have experience in Data science including creation of Machine learning models. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, huggingface)
