Data Engineer

GENERAL 

As a Data Engineer within our dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in harnessing the power of data to drive

strategic business decisions. Collaborating closely with data scientists and business stakeholders, you will be

responsible for managing, analyzing, and visualizing data to provide actionable insights. Your expertise in data

management, Power BI development, and proactive approach to identifying opportunities for data improvement will

be essential in optimizing our data infrastructure and support the success of our data initiatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Collaborate with data scientists to understand data requirements and assist in data collection, cleaning and

preparation.

Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Power BI

dashboards.

Analyze complex datasets to extract valuable insights and trends, providing recommendations to drive

informed decision making.

Take ownership of the data management processes, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and availability.

Proactively identify areas for improvement in data infrastructure, architecture, and governance, and

implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Keep current with advancements in the data realm, encompassing emerging technologies, methodologies,

and practices, and evaluate their potential impact on our operations.

Provide support and guidance in database administration to ensure optimal performance and security.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.

Proficiency in Power BI, with the ability to design and develop interactive dashboards and reports.

Solid understanding of SQL and database concepts, with experience in database administration and query

authoring (SQL)

Proficient hands-on experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and SSAS (SQL Server Analysis

Services)

Proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related field with a strong understanding of data

management principles and practices.

Knowledge of relevant data technologies (e.g., Azure IaaS and PaaS, Microsoft Fabric, etc.)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional

teams and senior stakeholders.

Proactive attitude towards learning and staying updated on emerging trends and technologies in the data

landscape
