The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting various datasets to enable insights and initiatives to drive business growth, improve customer retention, inform strategic decisions, and grant valuable insights to various stakeholders who support the Government sales channel inside Thomson Reuters.  

The successful candidate must be agile and responsive to the dynamic Government market and evolving internal processes, tools, and commercial strategies. This individual should be well organized, creative, a strategic thinker, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

About the Role:

  • Streamlining data collection methods to create automated and easy-to-use dashboards and reports – important data points include sales and retention analysis, customer behavior metrics, and commercial analysis.

  • Maintaining data systems by addressing errors and monitoring performance, specifically around customer data

  • Analyzing collected data and putting it into a format that others can easily interpret

  • Interpreting data trends and patterns as they relate to the organization

  • Preparing reports for organizational leadership to use in a business setting

  • Improve customer tagging and segmentation to enhance analysis and reporting

  • Collaborating with others to determine areas of improvement in relation to data

  • Develop an understanding of business partner needs, current state and develop designs for future state

About You:

Background

  • 2+ years of experience as a Customer Data Analyst or equivalent experience in data or business analytics

  • Bachelor’s degree: Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Analytics, Finance, or related field is preferred

  • Self-starter: Takes ownership of projects, resolving problems independently.

Tool / System Experience

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Teams.

  • Strong experience with data analysis tools, including Tableau, PowerBI, and Alteryx

  • Familiarity with the following technologies is beneficial: Python, SQL, SAP, and Business Objects

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $81,600 - $151,600. Eagan, MN; Ann Arbor, MI; Richmond, VA; Rochester, NY. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $70,500 - $130,900. Chicago, IL; Frisco, TX; Houston, TX; fully remote location. For these locations and any eligible US locations not otherwise noted, including for fully remote location if applicable, the base compensation range for this role is $74,200 - $137,800. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
