Job Description

The IS Operational Experience, Accounting & Data Governance Services group is responsible for developing core business applications that enable our world-wide network to efficiently manage and transport freight via collaborative internal and customer facing systems.

As a Developer in Test, you will be responsible for maintaining our automated testing suite for governed reference data required to support our applications and systems.  You will drive the automated tests and care for the binding/glue code, shaping the direction and quality of our tests, required for Accounting and Data Governance, aligning with core business objectives.

As a member of the development team, you will design, develop, and maintain complex automation and custom test frameworks. You will participate in the design and development of systems with an eye towards assuring quality and testability. You will fully understand and support the role of the development team, by providing automation test strategies and tools for our technologies and systems. Additionally, you will aid the development team as needed.

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ year experience with Object-oriented programming
  • 1+ year experience in a technical Quality Assurance role
  • Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
  • Proficiency with the system development lifecycle, including agile techniques and other methodologies
  • Adept at scripting in one or more languages
  • Developing proficiency at working with databases, web application frameworks and common line interfaces
  • Demonstrated ability with Object-oriented design and coding skills (Java)
  • Displayed ability to design and develop test automation frameworks from scratch
  • Effective at navigating ambiguity
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication
  • Ability to recognize and mitigate risks
  • Focus on Customer Centricity
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent job-related experience

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in driving technical and process improvements
  • Working knowledge of Java application development and Windows/UNIX/Linux systems
  • Working knowledge of common industry testing tools (Selenium/Webdriver, IntelliJ, Cucumber, Jmeter, SoapUI)
  • Understanding of the transportation/global logistics industry

Additional Information

Expected base salary:  $80,000 to $110,000
