The Role:
Forge Global, a pioneer in delivering data intelligence solutions for private markets, is searching for a new Director of AI Product strategy. We're seeking an experienced professional with a background in building & growing AI powered financial market data products and solutions with a drive to execute. This role is pivotal in advancing our strategic mission of fostering transparency in private markets, expanding our product offerings and supporting the creation of an industry leading trading marketplace. This role will sit at the intersection of artificial intelligence technology, product development, and business strategy to guide the vision, strategy and execution of AI-driven products ensuring we meet the market’s needs.
Location: This will be a hybrid role where you’ll be onsite 2-3 days a week in our San Francisco or New York office.
Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI and data-centric products, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and customer needs
- Deliver a roadmap that delivers new data insights leveraging AI to drive product enhancements, new data content and analytics
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for AI-powered data products, from ideation and research through development, deployment, and post-launch analysis
- Use a data-driven approach to product discovery, analyzing market trends, customer feedback, competitor analysis and data insights to identify new opportunities and drive product enhancements
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for products, adoption by customers and Cost of goods
- Partner closely with data research, operations, engineering, design, and business teams for product ideation, development, testing, and iteration based on client feedback, company vision, and strategic objectives
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and data governance teams to maintain data quality, integrity, security, and compliance with governance of AI
- Focus on personalization by leveraging machine learning models to deliver tailored insights that align with each client’s investment profile
- Develop strategies to drive user adoption of AI products. This may involve conducting user testing and refining features based on feedback
- Focus on aligning product outcomes with business objectives and ensure they meet both market and user demands
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of product management experience in a client-facing role, most of it attributed to building & launching financial data products such as pricing data, insights, data-driven investment signals
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, data architecture, and data science methodologies; experience with big data platforms, machine learning frameworks, and cloud technologies is highly desirable
- In-depth understanding of market data and the investment lifecycle across diverse financial asset classes
- Demonstrated experience in conceptualizing and developing financial data-oriented products using AI
- Superior communication skills, the ability to drive cross-functional delivery and interact effectively with senior leadership and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics
- A strong analytical mindset, problem solving skills and ability to think outside the box
- Prior experience with private or public market-related data and investment management experience is highly desirable
Nice to have:
- A strong understanding of financial concepts, such as valuation techniques, corporate action adjustments, market structure, and portfolio construction
- An unyielding passion for delivering solutions that create a significant impact on customer outcomes and business growth
- Technology fluency in data platforms and solid experience working closely with data researchers, operations to develop products & tools
- Demonstrated experience with Agile development, and modern product management practices, approaches and tools across engineering and design
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to drive complex initiatives to completion on time and within scope
For residents of San Francisco/Bay Area, CA or New York, NY the annual salary range for this role is $250,000 - $280,000 + annual bonus. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, candidate experience and expertise, annual bonus, performance and other factors.
Forge implements a mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, which applies to all employees.
