MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS・Currently pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree with an expected graduation through to the end of March 2027 ※Must be in school until the end of internship program・Must be available for a 3-month on-site internship in 2025・Have no more than 24 months of professional full-time work experience in the technology field (excluding internships, research and/or teaching assistant roles, and military experience)・Overseas Students (Based outside of Japan) who require visa support must meet one of the following requirements: ・The internship program is part of your education and essential for your graduation ・This internship allows you to receive some credit(s) for your education program ・Have Bachelor degree at the time of application
WORKING CONDITIONS・Start Date: June 1, 2025, August 1, 2025・Internship Duration: 3 months ・Expected work hours: 5 days (40 hours/week), depending on visa and class scheduling, some flexibility for shorter hours may be available・Salary Type: Hourly wage・Work Location: Nihombashi (Head office)・Others: ・The program is expected to be onsite ・Overseas Students (Based outside of Japan): Air tickets, visa support, and temporary housing will be provided ・Local Students (Outside of Tokyo): Temporarily housing will be provided

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?As a Motion Planning Engineer, you are a technical expert in at least one area below:・Path planning by using sensors or map information・Vehicle motion control (longitudinal and lateral)・Data-driven planning using machine learningThose with experience implementing these technologies into ADAS systems, robotics, and automated driving are very welcome.

RESPONSIBILITIES・Collaborate with teams such as Perception, Control, Simulation, Infrastructure, and Tooling to build unified solutions and realize safer and more secure system-level functionality and performance for AD/ADAS・Develop features such as lane-keeping, speed management, lane change, lane planning, and others・Understand and fulfill the software practices that produce maintainable code, including simulation, continuous integration, code review, HIL testing, and in-vehicle testing・You will be part of team which handles advanced research to product development・Example day to day life would look like this: ・30% of the time will be spent on the meeting with other team members based on Scrum event (Daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint review, sprint retrospective) and technical discussion with other team members, etc. ・70% of the time will be spent heads down designing logics, coding, evaluating with SILS environment, analyzing vehicle test issues, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Computer science, Mechanical engineering, Robotics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field
- Some experience in path planning, vehicle control or ADAS
- Some experience in machine learning
- 1+ years with C / C++ and familiarity with Python or other programming languages
- Working proficiency in English (verbal and written)
