Business Intelligence Developer

Job Overview
We are a small analytics group that works with the product development team bringing modern solutions to the medical software industry through an award-winning eCOA (electronic Clinical Outcome Assessment) platform. Our focus is providing reporting and data analytics to help bring the data to life.  We are looking for self-motivated individuals to help visualize data and provide actionable insights. This candidate will be working alongside with the project management and testing teams to deliver data solutions for our customers.

Essential Functions
• Design, develop and deploy reporting solutions for Phase I-IV clinical trials
• Participate in customer planning and requirements gathering
• Manage development lifecycle of report generation (development, test/QA, UAT, bug fix/retest cycles)
• Ensure proper documentation of SQL code and report deployments in GitHub
• Meet customer requirements and timelines for report deliverables
• Maintain and support portfolio of standard reports
• Support consultative relationships with key business stakeholders, proactively identifying and addressing BI needs to meet business goals, along with regulatory and compliance requirements
• Provide support to convert ideas and business needs into meaningful report/dashboard designs and data requirements
• Support the development of a standard process for defining data requirements, managing governance, and creating BI reports and dashboards for use throughout the organization

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
• Four to Seven (4-7) years experience in business intelligence or data analytics
• Expert in SQL programming, database structures and schemas
• Proficient with Business Intelligence Platforms (i.e. Amazon QuickSight, Tableau, TIBCO Spotfire, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to understand client requirements as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems and processes to enable execution of those skills.
• Demonstrated and proven project management skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and remotely with minimal supervision
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders with a customer service focus and mindset
