Role Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Director to join our APAC Regional Sales Team!
The role will lead the Data & Feeds APAC Sales Team, will report directly to the APAC Regional Head of Sales and can be based in Hong Kong or Singapore.
Position Summary
The Sales Director, Data & Feeds APAC leads a team of Managers who in-turn lead teams of Sales Specialists. The Sales teams cover the sales of LSEG’s Data & Feeds products across the APAC region.
This individual will be responsible for team engagement, relevant global business initiatives, is a member of the Regional Sales Leadership Team and a sales thought leader. We’re looking for a leader who advocates and articulates strategy for Data & Feeds across APAC financial market communities including customers, industry associations and regulators, while also developing a team, encouraging accountability for revenue growth, inspiring and driving the appropriate focus with the team to deliver significant gross sales performance and support critical renewals to maintain and improve retention.
Role Responsibilities
Full ownership of sales performance for each Data & Feeds proposition/solution – including consolidated Real-Time data feeds, low latency DMA, PRS and evaluated pricing, data distribution platforms, Quantitative content sets and digital wealth management solutions.
Interlock with APAC Regional Sales Managers and counterparts in EMEA and AMERS to own and drive the sales strategy
Partner with the CEO of the Data & Feeds product management division as well as key stakeholders across Product Management, Customer Strategy & Execution and Technology to ensure the APAC voice of customer is captured and developed on.
Directly manage and lead the APAC Data & Feeds Regional Sales teams.
Build capability to focus on strategic customer types and identify growth opportunities by packaging multiple propositions that serve holistic workflow, drive upsell/cross-sell and white space.
Leverage broad insight and understanding into customer and market opportunities to identify and prioritize strategic growth opportunities.
Active participation as a key thought leader at market events
Desired skills and experience
Minimum 8+ years leading a sales team addressing the financial sector
10+ years’ experience in a client facing role, with direct sales experience a strong plus.
Comprehensive understanding of Data & Feeds business, including customer workflow
Experience coordinating with various business functions to ‘own’ the growth of a business.
Proven track record and experience to encourage, influence and connect across differing audiences to drive positive business outcomes
Excellent commercial leadership skills, driven by a highly capable business mindset
Innovator who is comfortable using data to make decisions, simplify complex problems and express themselves thoughtfully.
Cross regional experience in APAC a strong advantage
